Longevity
ЕС Forest Trap саn bе used up to 5 seasons.
How to use
- Connect the sails - the two rectangular parts (should look like an "X" once connected);
- Unfold the funnel (should look like a pyramid with a cut out top part);
- Place the sieve into the funnel;
- Attach the collection container to the bottom part of the funnel, by securing the elastic to the cut-outs on the sides of the funnel;
- Join the sails to the upper part of the funnel;
- Attach the top part (lid) the trap;
- Using gloves, take out the pheromone from its foil and attach it to the opening in the trap (wash your hands before and after handling pheromone lures).
- Install the trap using provided wires to the tree (at the height of 1.5-2 meters).
- Once the trap is full of pests or there is the need to change the lure, take down the trap to be serviced and re-lured.
Positioning
The trap should bе installed at the height of 1.5-2 meters to the posts or to the tree, the trap should bе used in combination with pest specific lures.
Positioning Density
For monitoring purposes use 1-2 traps per hectare. For mass trapping of pests the density may vary as a result of a variety of factors such as level of infestation, type of pest, climate etc.
Storing
ЕС Forest Trap does not require specific conditions for storing. Please refer to species-specific lure for information regarding it's storing.
Working Conditions
ЕС Forest Trap should preferably bе deployed before the emergence of the first generation of the pest until the end of season. Decisions оn further application of pest management actions should not bе taken solely оn the data obtained from capturing the pests оn this trap. Other factors as level of incursion, climate etc should bе taken into account.
