In the orchard of Prodcar SRL, managed by Pascal Nicolae in the village of Negureni, Telenești district, a series of traps and pheromone mating disruption systems have been installed. The results obtained so far show the high efficiency of Eco Center technologies in monitoring and reducing pest pressure.
Technologies applied in the orchard:
To protect the various crops, the farmer opted for modern and ecological solutions:
For apple trees:
- Delta Plastic traps for monitoring;
- Pheromone mating disruption Cydia Protect® (codling moth) and Orana Protect® (Summer fruit tortrix);
For plum trees:
- Delta Plastic traps for monitoring;
- Pheromone mating disruption Grapholita Protect® to combat the plum fruit moth;
For cherry trees:
- Ec Fruit Fly Traps for monitoring and trapping the cherry fruit fly (Rhagoletis cerasi);
In the cherry orchard, Ec Forest Traps were also installed for monitoring and trapping bark beetles, developed by Eco Center, which have proven to be very effective and provide farmers with a practical tool for making pest management decisions.
Feedback from the manager:
"The traps and pheromone mating disruption systems installed in the orchards have proven to be very effective. In the first days, we observed a visible attraction of pests to the traps, which confirms the functionality of the attractants used. This gives us a clear picture of the infestation level and helps us to correctly decide the timing of phytosanitary treatments. I believe these solutions are real support for the protection of our orchards."

Conclusion:
The experience at Prodcar SRL’s orchard shows that Eco Center technologies, which combine monitoring with mating disruption, provide farmers with an effective and sustainable solution. By applying these methods, growers can better protect their crops while promoting a modern, competitive, and environmentally friendly agriculture.
